experience problem: Slowly Bootup

i have experience problem with microsoft windows XP, as Home Edition,
Professional Edition, Media Center Edition,

my operation system use several seconds to bootup , i am sure my computer is
free of security thearts, Microsoft Antispyware, symantec Norton Anivirus
2005 says.

i have check my system devices for problems, compatibility and other ways,
check writed on Microsoft Knowledge Base sites, Troubleshooting Sites or
other sources.

system performance:

WINDOWS XP MEDIA CENTER EDITION
INTEL PENTIUM 4 3.0 GHZ
1024 MB OF RAM
63% MEMORY FREE

Norton is a heavy software, it influences in the boot. i suggest that you
can go to System Configuration Utility (Start Menu - Run - msconfig) and
disable all software in Startup and see if the boot change to quickly.
If yes, enable one by one for to see which is.
