Firewall port exceptions for VPN
Posted by Malcolm Dowers on March 7th, 2006

Does anyone know how I can specify an IP address RANGE in the firewall port
exception list in the following location:-

start menu
control panel
windows firewall
exceptions
file and print sharing
edit
change scope
custom list

I need to specify a range of IP address on the other side of my VPN
connection. I would rather not have to specify each individual IP address if
at all possible.

Found out how. FYI by typing:-

192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0

this specifies 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.255

Glad you figured it out but that is really a network meaning all addresses
in 192.168.1.0 class C network. As far as I know you can not specify a range
such as 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.55 . --- Steve
