- How to disable write access for CD/DVD drive?

well i did all of those options listed even went through the registry
and still able to burn using nero.sooo dont think actually any of this
options works at all.
any other suggestions?
would appreciate it.

I had the same problem with Nero and another burning program (I forget
which), so while there may be some set of options that work, I finally set
up a user named "CDBurner" and installed the software only for that user.
From there, give only authorized people the password to that account. I
know there are ways around that, but at least it kept casual users at bay.
