IE sets up new users with custom levels in the security tab
Posted by Will Manley on November 18th, 2005

Hi,

New users get setup by default with custom security settings for IE on the
security tab for all zones. I am pretty much puzzled why it is not at a
default level as I have no policy changes applied for IE. Clicking default
level sets the user up as expected however I am a bit suspicious to what I am
undoing?

Any ideas?

Will

Possibly Group Policy is configured to do this. You can run rsop.msc on the
computer to see the GP settings that are being applied and from what Group
Policy if you are in an Active Directory domain. --- Steve
