With the last round of patches we have found that we can no longer grab the
ip address and Mac address from a batch file executed as part of the Novell
login scripts. We used to use ipconfig /all to grab the information for
logging purposes.

How does one grab this information now. In a medical environment we need to
know from which machine a user was logged in. Hence the requirement for the
ip and mac address.

does any one have any ideas on how this should can done with XP after the
patches.

ipconfig of course works after the login process terminates. We just can't
shell out
during the login script process and grab this info any more.
