my FDD behaves like ATM machine!!! why???
Posted by aken on March 31st, 2008

hi,
my FDD is behaving funny. it is constantly checking the FDD at regular
interval. it blinks when it tries to access the FDD. why does it do this.

i have checked by running windows defender, Avast, Adware SE and SPybot
S&D but to no success. there might be some setting to stop this check.

also, to make sure, i have checked the wires also. it works fine.

well, in the same machine, i have windows 2003 Std loaded and this
happening does not occur when i boot into it. so what is this going on??

if nothing comes up, i think i will reinstall OS. will wait for your re
before going the last step.

thnks in ADV

You installed a program that checks the floppy at intervals. AntiVirus
program perhaps
