- New User Accounts
- Posted by Michael on October 20th, 2005
Hello,
Someone uses my computer that I don't want going through my files. I
enabled the guest account on XP pro, but for some reason, they can do
everything but print. No error messages pops up. The printer shows as
installed you can print to it but nothing happens. I even created a limited
access account and had the same problem. Yet under my account, I can print
fine. I disabled certain services a long time ago, would it have anything
to do with that? I'd appreciate any guidance. Thanks.

Disable the guest account and create a limited user account for visitors.
This should work fine - and leaving 'guest' disabled is a good security
measure. Make sure you have good passwords, use NTFS, all that.....
