- Setting Password For Screensaver In XP Pro
- Posted by Labec on October 11th, 2005
Ive tried checking the On Resume, Password protect checkbox but I am still
not asked for a screensaver password. There are 2 users on this computer and
only the one main account has a password. From what I have read it should
prompt me for my login password but not matter what I do, even a restart
after pressing apply it still does not ask me for a password. Any suggestions?

I was having the same problem. My computer is on a Novell 5.1 Network using
Netware Client 4.9sp2. Once uninstalled the Screensaver's "On Resume
Password Protect" function began to work. I downloaded Novell's Netware
Client 4.91sp2e, and installed the client. After the new Netware Client was
installed, I tested the screensaver and it password protects now.
Hope this helps. I have found no other answers to this issue anywhere.
