- setting up internet access

I am tring to set up internet access using the network connections icon in
the control panel (xp-pro 5.1.2600) the only button available after the
window with options on how to connect (I picked manuel option) is broadband
connection. Why isnt "connect using a dial up modem" available?

Dial-up Modem or PPPoE Option in New Connection Wizard Is Unavailable
