- Trusted certificates
- Posted by Roger Gelder on May 9th, 2008
System is Win XP Pro SP2, x64 [desktop] Win XP Pro Sp2, x32 [laptop].
After a recent set of updates on the 64 bit PC, I encountered Error
8x80072F8F = date/time sync error and a stop on updates. Following the 3
offered options, to correct date/time, failed to correct.
There seemed to be a link to 'trusted certificates' and searching these
showed several were 'out-of-date'.
Can I safely click & delete these?
I saw a new 'certificates upgrade' on the Wifi-ed 32 bit laptop & 'fixed'
that, but cannot get to upgrades on the 64 bit desktop - yet. This latter
had 'certificate errors' showing on several sites = Ebay, Paypal, etc, so
put them as trusted (Kapersky) and that worked.
Thanks for help,
roj
