recently i found a virus on my computer and i put it into a quarentine. now i
would like to find that file and delete it, but i am unable to find it. can
you tell me where the default place of storage for such an occurance is?

Are you kidding ?

You don't tell us what anti virus software YOU are using, what virus was found nor the name
of the file and you want us to tell you where your un-named anti virus quarantine cache is !

BTW: There are anti virus News Groups specifically for this type of discussion.

Depending on the antivirus program...
You need to open its quarantine section and then if it is still there,remove
it.

But you should have been more specific in your post !
