- Posted by cybergran on January 5th, 2006
Hi...I have a new computer with Win XP SP2....I have updated all windows
updates that are applicable to me yesterday....However I could not find any
SP2 updates....are there any & where do I find them on the Microsoft
site....Also are there any "hotfixes" & "patches" I should be looking
for..for both Win XP & SP2....Thanx for your input.....

Microsoft does not list them that way at Windows Update, or anywhere else
for that matter.
If you visited Windows Update and got everything, then you should be good to
go.
Look around here if you like...

Hi Wesley....Thank you for your input...It is much appreciated...I have
already been to the Auto update page earlier this week...I am confused...When
I check to see what time I receive the auto updates the first page states
everyday at 3 AM...when I go into "more options" it states everyday at 9
PM...which is what I set the time for....why does it still show 3 AM on the
first page...Is this because of the time zones...??? I live in New
Zealand....I certainly don't want to be getting up at 3 Am just to update win
XP & SP2....LOL....I think this is why I never got the Auto updates on
Wednesday & had to download them myself...Thanx

I have SP1 and I do not have a More Options that I could find. Maybe SP2
has the option. I do not use Automatic Updates, but I turned it on just to
check the settings.
I am in the US, Colorado.
Is your time and time zone set correctly?
Double click the clock | Time Zone tab | Should be either GMT +12 or +13 |
I can't tell for sure because you are on Daylight Saving Time now.
Looks like New Zealand has only one time zone.
New Zealand is DST +1300 GMT
By the way, a new Critical Update today.
