- adding drivers during install
- Posted by sienaman on April 16th, 2006
I have asked questions about how to add drivers (sata drivers in particular)
while installing XP. Since my laptop does not have a floppy drive I have been
advised to slipstream my iso image of XP to include the drivers I need or get
a floppy. Being the lazy person that I am I have decided that purchasing an
external floppy would be the easiest but now I am wondering if a USB floppy
drive will function correctly when I hit F6 during setup? Will setup
recognize the USB floppy and pull the drivers from it?

Here's a web site that explains the theory on how to add SATA/RAID drivers
to your XP Installation CD.
