- Disable Local Group Policy Objects in Windows XP
- Posted by Eric Guzman on March 26th, 2008
I have several hundred windows xp computers with local GPO's that I want to
disable globally from an OU based GPO. I know that the OU GPO will override
the local GPO, but I want to find a way to completely disable all local GPO
on my windows XP computers. I found a site that I referenced with no luck.
http://www.theeldergeek.com/enable_d...oup_policy.htm
Added the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Win dows\System\
created a Dword with a value name of DisableGPO and the value data of 1,
with no success.
