The FAST Wizard and DRM files
Posted by ScubaJoe13 on October 1st, 2005

I am about to use the FAST Wizard to transfer my settings from my old Win 98
SE computer to a new one with XP Home. I have read about FAST on this site,
ahuma(sp?) and other sites and I have not seen mentioned how, or if, the
Wizard handles DRM licenses. I have multiple files in my c:\Windows\all
users\DRM directory that are for audio and video files I have licenses for.

Does FAST transfer those licenses? If not, how do I go about transferring
them?

Thaks in advance for any help.

In xp,the wizard lets you select files and settings before it starts, usually
all
audio files are included.Thiers also a download at microsoft, downloads, media
for DRM.

Andrew,

Thank you for the response, but I loooked in the download area you mentioned
and the only two programs that related to DRM just seemed to be updates, not
a transfer aid. Did I miss the file you were talking about?

Also I am asking because none of the file extensions related to DRM ( .lic,
..key, .bla, .sst) are listed in the file list for transfer in the wizard.

Thanks again
