Re KB 328874 "How to change the Volume Licensing product key on a Windows XP
SP1-based computer" ---- will this procedure also work on an SP-2 based
system and if not what would the proper procedure be?

It works.
But it will only change the VLK to a new VLK. Otherwise - repair install.
