- How come i cant get this to work on my new comp.? please help
- Posted by Mark Bridge on October 5th, 2005
Ok, so here is the deal. My mom got me a computer for my birthday while i was
gone with my dad. She built me the comp, with the help of one of her friends.
I dont really know any of the specs, but apperantly they used the windows xp
that i used on the old computer, and used it onto my new one. But, i cannot
update it on the new computer. My mom thinks its cuz it was from a previously
installed version. So, if there is something I can do, like maybe uninstall
it on my old comp.(which im using btw) or anything. I just want to know.
Thanks

You need to purchase a new copy of Windows XP and
use it to install on the new computer. You cannot use
the same license on two different computers.
