XP is very compatable with 2003,you might install it to another hd,or
partition on youre computer.

Each Windows operating system must be installed on
a separate drive or partition.

I installed XP then 2003 in same partition, different directories. Both were
doing just fine before HDD failure lost both.
You have to be careful with apps, and be sure to install them in both.

General Rule when installing Multiple Microsoft OSes..
Older OS first.
