- Lenovo T60 Windows Installation
- Posted by jayhowerter@gmail.com on April 7th, 2006
I recently purchased a Lenovo T60. I am trying to install a Volume
License version of Windows XP on it. Of course Lenovo doesn't support
this. Anyway, the T60 has a Serial ATA controller for the hard drives.
Lenovo says to put this controller into "Compatability" mode in the
BIOS to install windows. Whenever I do this I get a blue screen, either
a Session Manager failed error or a ntdll.dll hard error. I have also
tried to set the Serial ATA controller to non-Compatibility mode and
specify the driver for the controller in the Windows setup. It gets
through the non-GUI part fine. But as soon as it reboots, it blue
screens. I was wondering if anyone had experienced this before, or they
had any suggestions?
