- Move user profile
- Posted by Ola Persson on January 17th, 2006
Hi
I need help with moveuser.exe from ResKit 2003. I need to copy a userprofile
on remote clients from one domain to another domain. Source domain is NT4 and
target is AD 2003. My clients run XP Pro with sp2.
I try to copy userprofile with this syntax:
moveuser DOMAIN\username NEWDOMAIN\username /c:clientname
and get error 1722 (if I do it from a XP client) or error 87 (if I do it
from my DC in NEWDOMAIN). I can open \\clientname\c$ from my DC and have full
access to it.
Please, I need help with this.
Best regards
Ola Persson

what if you establish some trust between 2 domain?
IF that failed, if you can at least transfer settings and files to an XP POR
and then make it roaming profile. how use xp's file and setting transfer
wizard to make disk for NT to extract profile
