- Moving profiles
- Posted by Alan Dratch on December 20th, 2005
What is the difference between using system properties to copy a profile as
opposed to going to the documents and settings folder and manually copying
the profile. I know that when you use the system properties, the Outlook PST
stays in the old location; no idea why this is. This causes problems when
someone comes back later and deletes the old profile thinking that it is not
being used anymore. For that reason I prefer to manually move the profile.
Are there any other pros and cons?
It would be great if you did not have to create a new profile each time.
Many times you are just duplicating an existing one anyway; kinda makes me
miss Windows 9x <g>
Thanks
Alan
