- Registry change to uncheck "Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL.
- Posted by undsioux7 on February 21st, 2006
I have created a .reg file to change the box to unchecked in IE options
advanced tab for "Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility)"
and the change takes effect for the account I use to make the change but not
for another user.
Here is my reg change:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FTP]
"Use PASV"="no"
Now, whats funny is if I now change the "Use PASV"="yes", then the opposite
action occurs. Now the second user has the box unchecked, but the initial
users box is now checked.
Am I missing a regkey change? There is a local policy ran before this is
ran, but no group policy is being run at the moment.
