- Script to remove "unkown devices"
- Posted by Art Vandelay on February 1st, 2006
After I build an image using RIS I have a number of unknown devices. I store
the drivers on a Network share and I add that location to the DEVICEPATH Key
in the registry using a cmdlines.txt, but when RIS is building the image
that location is not available so the drivers are not found. Once the PC is
built if I delete those unknown devices and "Scan for hardware changes" or
reboot, they are all found silently.
What I'm looking for is a script to remove all unknown devices. I'll run
that script at the end of my build and reboot.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Art.
