- Posted by deejaydee on May 6th, 2008
Hi Boys & Gels,
This morning I did a clean install of XP Pro on
a Dell Dimension 4600i, I created this from original dell boot XP
installation disk , with final
version SP3 , everything went like a dream. Noted that I did'nt have to use
licence key and no activation. Thereafter downloaded IE7 plus a few other
udates
for Office 2003.

One thing about dell is that if you use the cd provided by them and do a
clean install, you would not have to do an activation
