- Starting Windoes XP 1. st time
- Posted by Lars on December 16th, 2005
I've just installed windows XP on my computer, and starting it for the first
time. The only logon option is administrator, and it is asking for a
password. I do not have a password, and everything I try results in the same
error msg.
- The system cannot log on due to the following error:
- The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted
- Please try again or consult your system administrator
This is my home computer, and I'm the only one using it. It does not help to
reinstall windows. Does anyone know the default password, or how to fix this
problem?

Hi
If you are running XP Home Edition, try leaving the password blank.
