- Stop setup in Safe Mode?
- Posted by JCC on January 11th, 2006
Due to an attempt to overwrite a bad hardware driver that prevented normal
boot up, I tried to reinstall WindowsXP. The bad driver is preventing setup
from running normally so this attempted fix will not work. What I need to do
now is to stop setup from continuing. I can boot into SafeMode but
immediately get a dialog that says setup cannot run in SafeMode, please
reboot. There are no other choices. Is there a method or a place that I can
end the setup sequence from the recovery console command line? TIA
