- Sysprep & Computer Name.

Is there a parameter within Sysprep that will allow me to assign computer
names automatically for a lab of 28 computers? They would have a name and
then be numbered sequentially 101-128.

No. You can only generate random computernames with a prefix of your
company name. How should setup know which number to assign?

That is what all the info I had found said, but just wanted to make sure
there wasn't a cryptic workaround.

In Windows 2000 you could use a Unattend.udf during setup to specify specific
machine names. It may work with XP, but I'm not sure if it works with
sysprep or just during install only.
