i have a hewlett packard pavilion 6653c with a hawk motherboard..the hard
drive failed..i put in a hard drive from a gateway computer i had..its
running xp sp2 home edition..when i boot up it goes through everything and
gets to system restore screen..that when i get a pop up window stating that
my system restore environment is incomplete and ask me to put in system
restore %MEDIA_TYPE%1 cd in...i never got a cd...i don't have to old tower
with the product key on it..i know you guys can kick me later..lol..how do i
fix this..

You wont be able to boot up with a hd from another PC
Not only will a gateway winxp probably not run on a HP sys, because its tied
to the origonal gateway hardware, but if it wasnt you would have to run a
repair installation of winxp in order to install the correct drivers.
