- Win 98 to XP Install Now Requires me to Select a Platform
- Posted by Glenn on April 16th, 2006
After I installed XP over Win 98, I now have to select at startup if I want
to boot using Win XP or Microsoft Windows. It will default to Win XP after
about 30 seconds. What must I do to have the computer stop asking me to make
this choice and go directly into XP? I installed XP completely with no
partions.
Thank you for any help.

Sounds like you created a dual boot, see the link below to remove 98 and
leave XP.
