- Window Professional x64 intalls but does not work
- Posted by Grant on April 7th, 2006
Ok, here is my problem.
The whole thing installs fine, the when it gets to "Applying settings" it
stops. When I restart the computer manually I get to "Welcome", then it sits
there for about a minute, then loads the Windows XP x64 desktop background
with no icons or taskbar. I can get to the task manager, but cannot start
explorer.exe or anything else. Also when I go to the "users" tab it shows no
users logged in. I am running Windows XP Pro non-64 right now and it works
fine. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
