Windows XP Setup
Posted by Pramodpaluri on April 30th, 2006

When trying to re-install windows XP on my system, the Setup cannot copy some
specific files from the CD.

Setup cannot copy "Driver.Cab" and "Explorer.exe".
Does it have something to do with a problem in the CD disk itself?

If the CD is OK then you could be having a issue with the computers RAM.

I'm Sure though that the above are not the only answers

I just finished a PC with the same problem. Replace the RAM, IF this
does not work go to the Setup and disable the USB connections then try
again. I Had to replace the RAM and disable the USB options and XP
installed with no problems. Just remember to turn back on the USB.

Hey, I posted a great answer to this question. Unfortunately, I was critical
of XP and the Big Brother moderator deleted it. So, maybe I will try this.
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR GREAT PURCHASE OF WINDOWS XP. WELCOME TO THE
EXCITING WORLD YOU ARE ABOUT TO BE EXPOSED TO.
