Administrator Account on SBS 2003

Does my Administrator account have to have an external email address?
administrator@mydomain.com or can it just have administrator@mydomain.local?

by default, it will update based on your recipient policy.

you can disable external email addresses by start;run;dsa.msc and hit enter.

this pulls the active directory users and computer screen. Locate the admin
account by right clicking on your organization and going to find, search for
administrator. open the user properties by 2x clicking on the account. Go
to email addresses tab, uncheck 'automatically update e-mail addresses based
on recipient policy' and remove the email addresses you do not want this
account to have.

You should also ensure that the account ** does ** have a valid SMTP address
that can at least be routable internally. I would simply recommend changing
the primary SMTP address to administrator768768732@yourdomain.com . You wot
recieve the influx of unwanted email but will have a fully rroutable address
that you can use for testing if needed....
