In a previous post, I asked if SBS4.5 could be demoted so that it would not
be the PDC and could reside on a domain with SBS2003. Marina Ross replied
that "is not possible. You will have to flatten the 4.5 and reinstall
with plain server media".
Is is possible to install NT only from the SBS4.5 media? Do you have the
option to not install SBS?

No, you cannot use the SBS 4.5 media to just install NT4.
