Disc space problems
Posted by Roscoe on June 8th, 2004

I have inherited a SBS 2000 which keeps telling me it has
no disc space.

I have no idea where to start, can you point me in the
direction of what I can delete to free up space?

The Event viewer will not let me clear it as it says it is
full.

ALL help really appreciated

1stly, is there space on additional Disks/Partitions ?
If not, add a second HDD. - They're dirt cheap.

Move the Pagefile to another drive or set a size smaller then your
currently using this will give you breathing space.

Have you done a cleanup ? Temp Files / IE Cache / IE History

Have you done an "Exchange Aware" Full Backup ?
If not, do so -NOW-

Have you had the Users clear up their files/folders on the Server ?

If you have space on other drives, move the User folders/ DataFiles /
Databases / Logs ( all variable Data ) to those drives.
