- Left hand mouse on home computer and work computer
- Posted by Joseph Puntasecca on June 10th, 2004
Hello,
I have a client that has SBS 2003 Standard with Win XP Pro clients. When
they connect to the Remote Web Workplace from home on a Win XP Pro computer
with left hand mouse orientation to their work computer which also has left
hand mouse orientation the two left hand mice cancel each other out and
revert to right hand orientation. Is there a fix for this?
Thanks,

Hmmm... not really an answer but:
Unexpected Mouse Behavior During a Remote Assistance Session

What happens if the remote user switches the mouse button configuration to
"right-handed" under the mouse settings in Control Panel?

And maybe a fast-switch application...

Maybe you could put this app on the desktop of the LAN computer and have the
remote user click on the proper orientation when the remote desktop session
fires up. Then reset it before he/she logs off. Probably could script this
too.
