- SBS2003 and exchange move
- Posted by Chris Shuks on December 1st, 2005
Hello All
We started off with SBS 2003 and have added win 2003 DC servers as needed
,running various other tasks.
Our initial install of SBS is now unpredictable and a worry , so we would
like to move exchnage to one of the other servers.
We have a seperate copy of microsoft exchange to install on one of the other
servers. ( this is not the one used with the existing sbs , I know that can
not be used)
Can I just install the exchange on another server and move the mailboxes
across ?
Can we also move the FSMO roles to other servers and completely retire the
SBSserver ?
Are there any pitfalls I should look out for ?
Cheers and thanks for any info
Chris
