- VPN connects but doesn't allow access in SBS 2003
- Posted by BD Hodge on September 11th, 2007
I have a client who at some time (I don't know when) their VPN stopped
working properly.
You can connect via VPN without any problems. But you can't ping the
server, DNS isn't working at all over the VPN and none of the connections
work properly.
I've looked everywhere and can't see anything wrong. And it was working
before. It also won't find the Exchange server. I'm kind of at wits end,
ready to call Microsoft. But I thought I'd try this first.
All of the clients are Windows XP Pro.
Any place you think I should look? Thanks.

Hello,
Have you proven with another user, that the issue is at the client end ?
If it is the client end, have they installed anynew firewalls or
Antivirus ?
Have they played with the VPN gateway properties ?
Try deleting and recreating the VPN connector.
Thanks
