- Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2
- Posted by Cris Hanna [SBS-MVP] on March 13th, 2007
This was released by Microsoft today. We have had no information from the
SBS Product Group so far about the ramifications of installing it on SBS
boxes...
When we corner the group tomorrow here at the MVP Summit, we will ask and
post their comments.

This is for all Server 2003 family products but note the recommended KB

Th article was posted, basically it says that if you want to use the
Transition pack on a SBS system that has been patched with SP2, you need to
remove SP2 first.

Could someone remind Microsoft that 2003 Premium is not at the end of its
support cycle. And by the way where is SP1 for Premium. Users of Premium are
getting concerned and need some reassurance from above.

The SBS MVPs had a very open discussion with the SBS Product Development and
Product Support folks who were present at the conference.
I can tell you that they finally got the message regarding the availability
of SBS SP1 for Premium users and we have their assurance that it will be
resolved. They simply could not commit to a timeline in that meeting.
