Is Windows XP SP2 Firewall a "personal firewall" as per the migration guide?
Posted by Theo on January 24th, 2005

Hi All
Microsoft's migration guide advises in step 3 "Prepare client computers ..."
item 3 to "Disable any personal firewalls running on the client computers."
We are to carry out a migration from SBS 2000 where the clients are Windows
XP with SP2 and the firewall has file and print sharing ticked. Do we need
to disable it for the migration?
Thanks
Theo
