Better units conversion program needed
Posted by on April 18th, 2007

I have a copy of "Convert", and it does well for a wide variety of units,
but it's list of units misses quite a few. Indeed, it doesn't work for me
about half the time--simply because it's not familiar with the units I need
to convert. e.g. It has no magnetic units, such as gauss and webers.

Where can I find a free conversion program that has EVERYTHING?

Thanks,

Norm Strong

http://www.jonelo.de/java/nc/
It is the most complete one I've ever seen, requires only Java runtime
environment.

1.There's a free prog called Unit Converter on this page which
I use occasionally:
http://www.programming.de/freeware_windows.php
(and a few other free progs too)

2.There's another one here which I also use occasionally:

You can add you own conversion to convert....go to
options/preferences/custom.....also if you go to
the convert page you can let the programmer know
that the conversions you want are missing, he will
add on update...

Also you can not show the tabs that you have no need for...
also under preferences....

hope helps...have fun.....sno

I think this is the one. I'll let you know if I have trouble with it.
Thanks Louis
