Capture mjpeg webcam stream from browser
Posted by dsmcd on November 18th, 2004

Hello...

My apologies if this is a common question or if I'm asking the wrong question...

A D-Link DCS-900W webcam with a built-in webserver is streaming its mjpeg
images with being conneted to a computer or server. By browsing to
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx I can view the stream in either ActiveX or Java directly
from the camera.

I'd like to record the stream. The webcam install came bundled with IPView Lite
which administers the webcam and can record the stream. However, I'll need to
record the stream with having IPView Lite installed.

Any suggestions.

Thx,
D.
