Hello,

I'm looking to put up a website that gives the possibility to search
different articles/abstracts online.

What I'm imagining is a list of criterias according to which I want to
refine the full list, with the possibility of refining the resulting
list further, according to the other criteria.

For example, say I publish recipies, I want to first be able to refine
from a list of options, like country, size of meal, veg/non-veg, etc
etc.
If I choose to refine by country and, say Italy, I then want to be able
to refine by size of meal, veg/non-veg,... but also display the list of
*all* Italian recipies. Does that make sense?

My question now is how I accomplish this best. What kind of program do
I need in the background and what are the alternatives? Although I am
primarily searching for a freeware/ open source program, proprietary
software is also considered.
