You could have told us the name. Who would download an .exe without even
knowing what it is?

<quoted from some site>

Diskeeper Lite Freeware

Diskeeper Lite is a free manual-only version of Diskeeper with limited
functionality. Diskeeper Lite can analyze and detect fragmentation levels.
With Diskeeper Lite you can run a manual defragmentation on a single disk
volume at a time. The "Set It and Forget It" scheduling, system management
functions, network controls and other powerful features available in the
full Diskeeper product, are shown and explained but rendered inoperative.
Diskeeper Lite provides the basic features required to defragment a single
disk and gives information regarding the additional features available in
full-featured versions of Diskeeper.

That's easy, disk keeper lite. The leader in defrag utilities.

BTW, I tried DKLite about a month ago. If it's the leader, I'd hate to
see who's running second.

Not the one I tried. Should be easy to find via google if the link you
provided isn't it.

Yep.

Next lesson: bottom posting. It *is* the preferred method in this
newsgroup. Please try to conform.

Thanks.

Nagware.
Persuade you to defragment at least daily - nonsense.
Do not defragment with less then 20 % free disk space.

It Displays very impressing multicolor defrag screen,
moving here and there something.

Not sure, but it seems to work very similarly
as Defrag95 with file defragment only option
( or Defrag98/Me with /u option )

It is evident it is finishing its work quickly.

My Defrag ( full defrag ) had enough work to defragment
DKL defragmented disk, as it would
after "defrag: defragment files only".

Authors sayings about need such prog, persuading to buy the full one,
looks to me as "brain washing".

They were said somewhere to be scientologists
( in microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion group ? )

The above behavior is typical for them, it can be true...

Sorry, but your wrong. I am in the business, and MS did have Executive
Software create a non-branded version of Diskeeper to "fix" the problem it
had created when the made the statment that NT did not fragment, so there
was no need for a defragmenting solution in the product. However, I would
suggest testing the O&O product. I know the in the pay versions, it's
getting better reviews than DK (and there is an older freeware version, here
is the link: http://www.ntware.com/workstation/disk_utils_3.html )
