..DOCX File Extension. Is there any freeware which will read this file
format?
Word processing format introduced with Microsoft Word 2007 (part of
Office 12); based on Open XML

There is a utility at MS for use with Office 2003 to read Office 2007
formats. I don't remember the URL.
