DVD Read software
Posted by mgt on September 26th, 2004

Unfortunately, my video card has the TV-out function. TV has never been
connected. Vid Props shows that TV is not connected, but current player,
PowerDVD XP 4.0 CyberLink Corp., lets the disk falsely present the error
message that TV must be disconnected in order to run. This is for some but
not all movie-type disks.

I've Googled for dvd software but without much luck. Suggestions, pointers
appreciated.

Here is one, for anyone who's looking: http://www.videolan.org/ - VLC
Media PLayer. Obviates the microvision protection problem, which apparently
caused the TV-out feature to be recognized as active, when it was not.
