free internet filtering software?

Is there any free internet filtering software packages out there that are
any good? There used to be Net Nanny, Cyber Patrol, etc.? Do you have to
pay to get good results?

You might want to try 'Parental Filter.'
It's basically a freeware porn blocker that blocks a list of known pornsite
IP addresses in its database. I havent tested it yet but it looks promising.

However in "Parents Friend" each 4th Letter will be replaced by a dot.

By registering it , which is only 5$ US the limitation can be removed.
The key will be send to you when you write me a mail that you send the fee
to the autor.

I have no idea what it means by each fourth letter.............

Neither did I. Until I asked the author. Apparently...

Parents friend has an option to write a log-file of all activity.
In this logfile every 4th letter will be replaced by a dot.
