- Freeware to organize windows / remap alt-tab
- Posted by antoine on February 28th, 2006
Hi all,
I am looking for two kinds of feature :
1) the ability to organize all opened windows in a mosaic mode
2) the ability to remap the alt-tab keystroke to another single-key
keystroke.

Don't know if these will help, but here are a couple of tools I've
used:
TaskSwitchXP Pro 2.0
http://www.ntwind.com/taskswitchxp/
TaskSwitchXP is an advanced task management utility that picks up where
the standard Windows Alt+Tab switcher leaves off. It provides the same
functionality, and adds visual styles to the dialog and also enhances
it by displaying thumbnail preview of the application that will be
switched to. TaskSwitchXP also has a powerful process and window
management capability that allows you quickly to close/minimize
applications and their groups. The unique capabilities of TaskSwitchXP
make it useful for tracking down multitudinous windows, and provide
insight into the way Windows and applications work.

Alt -Tab Thingy
http://www.nymtec.com/?q=att
If you are not familiar with the Alt-Tab task switcher in Windows, it's
a keyboard short-cut (hot-key) to enable fast switching between
applications/windows. This feature has been in Windows since Windows
3.0 and is largely unchanged since Windows '95! Alt-Tab Thingy is a
replacement to add brand new features to help you switch tasks faster
and more efficiently than ever before!

This is a post I put on a WinXP newsgroup, would PowerPro do this?
Thanks... Bob

this?"

You simply do that the taskbar properties :

Thanks a lot. TaskSwitchXP Pro is very configurable and enables to
choose another keystroke setting than the default alt-tab : all I was
looking for.
