OK, thanx for the notification.
But can you please tell me what's the best Mahjongg/Shanghai freeware
game available.
I've seen Kyodai Mahjongg before, and now I'm looking for a similar
freeware version. But there are 91 freeware games on this site, and I
like to know which one to download...
Thnx,

Hi, Arjan. You don't mention which OS you're using. I'll assume it's
Windows. Similar to Kyodai is not possible...that game is to good. But
of the freeware offerings I recommend:
Dragonboard 0.8c, haihai 2, MahJong 2000, MahJongg Solitaire 3D 0.95/6,
PySolitaire and Shanghai-Fuu
AS-Mahjongg is not good enough yet, but the author has a very good
solitaire card game package and I hope the mahjongg game will be just as
good later...
Hope this helps.

Myjonng 2 seems good to me - it leaves a sprite icon on my taskbar when I
close it, but otherwise fine.
(I would like better tilesets)

Strange! I use win98se myself and had no problem. Could it be the OpenGL
drivers you're missing? (or a graphics card that doesn't support it?)
Me too! :-)

if Open stuff doesn't work straight out of the box, I abandon it.
Not do do so leads to insanity!
The only exception was Timidity, which drove me crazy, but was worth it,
and even then I only got it running with a load of help.... and it *still*
doesn't work right, but it does it's core job beautifully.
