There would appear to be a way to convert multiple pages in a pdf file to
tiff, but regardless of which pages I select, I only get a single page
converted to tiff.
Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks.

multipage tiff-file.
Try to view the generated tiff with a software capable of viewing
multipage-tiffs. Irfanview and Xnview can do this. You can then select
the page you want to view.
