That'll tell you what type of RAM you have.

I second this recommendation. It's what I used when I added RAM to my

I don't reply to trolls like Andy Mabbett or Doc (who uses sock

crippleware, demoware, nagware, PROmotionware, shareware, spyware,
time-limited software, trialware, viruses or warez for me, please.

It's under 'Memory modules'. If you need more detailed info than that, then
Belarc does not seem to provide it.

You will also want to ID your motherboard. From that you can ID what
memory works with that motherboard.

You can find out how to ID your motherboard here:

http://www.wimsbios.com

You can then determine what memory to buy here:

There are other URL's that you can use, these just happen to be two that
I found after a quick search.

Another possibility is the Belarc Advisor. This free program will give you
a complete look at your computer, along with all the programs in it. It'll
tell you how much memory you have, what type, and how many spaces there are
for additional memory.

Scroll down to the "Motherboard manufacturer" section. Follow the
instructions to identify the manufacturer and go to the linked
"Details of the Trigem and ASUS motherboards". Here you find all
information you need for upgrading memory.
